Newsroom

We believe every environmental story deserves a byline from someone who has to live with its consequences. AYEJ exists to put the pen — and the credential — in the hands of the young journalists closest to the story, from reef towns in the Visayas to the logging frontiers of Mindanao.

Before a contributor's first piece runs, they're credentialed the same way a field reporter would be — a beat, a home region, and an editor who signs off on the work. That's the credential each author card below is modeled on.

The Roster in Numbers

Every number above is a byline — a young reporter who pitched a story, worked it with an editor, and got it published under their own name.
