Building a Green Future: Youth-Led Environmental Action in the Philippines
Young Filipinos are leading the charge on climate action through tree planting, cleanups, and advocacy

Youth across the Philippines are leading environmental action in their schools and communities. From tree planting campaigns to clean energy advocacy, young people are taking the initiative on climate action. They are inspired by a deep concern for their future and a belief in the power of collective action.
One group, the "Green Brigade," has planted over 10,000 trees in Metro Manila. Another, "Eco-Warriors," has organized a series of cleanups along the Pasig River. A third, "Climate 2045," is advocating for ambitious climate action at the local and national levels.
"We are not waiting for adults to solve the problem," says one youth advocate. "We are acting now. We are building a movement. And we will not stop until we have a sustainable future."
The youth-led movement is growing, and it is having an impact. It is creating awareness, inspiring action, and building a constituency for change.
